Overview

Slate products are thoughtfully designed and manufactured to meet high quality standards and support a better daily flossing routine. We stand behind our products and offer the limited warranties outlined below.

This Warranty Policy applies only to products purchased directly from Slate or from an authorized retailer.To verify coverage, Slate may require proof of purchase such as the original order number, purchaser email address, or additional information as needed. 


Warranty Coverage by Product

Slate Electric Flosser (Pro & Origin Models)

Warranty Period: 1 year from the original date of purchase
Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use

Slate Mini Flosser

Warranty Period: 90 days from the original date of purchase
Coverage: Manufacturing defects under normal, intended use

Accessories

Charging cords, power adapters, covers, and cases

Warranty Period: 90 days from the original date of purchase
Coverage: Manufacturing defects under normal, intended use

Consumables (Including Floss Head Refills)

Consumable items—including floss head refills, toothpaste, varnish, mouth tape, and similar products—are not covered under warranty by Slate, except when a product arrives defective or damaged.

If a consumable arrives defective or damaged, please contact support@slateflosser.com promptly with photo or video documentation so we can help make it right.


What This Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Defects in materials or workmanship

  • Functional failures that occur during normal, intended use


What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including chips, scratches, abrasions, discoloration, or fading

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper care

  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, modifications, or non-Slate replacement parts

  • Consumable items (except as noted above for damaged or defective delivery)

  • Products not purchased directly from Slate or an authorized retailer


How to File a Warranty Claim

Purchases Made Directly Through Slate’s Online Store

To file a warranty claim for products purchased on slateflosser.com, submit a claim through our return/warranty portal HERE.

You’ll need:

  • The email address or zip code used on your order

  • Your order number or tracking number

  • A short video clearly showing the defect or issue


Purchases Made Through Amazon or Another Authorized Retailer

To file a warranty claim for products purchased on Amazon or another authorized retailer, visit the Slate return/warranty portal HERE and follow the steps below.

  1. Select “Other Retailer - Warranty & Registration” link 

  2. Choose the applicable retailer

  3. Enter and verify your email address

  4. Upload a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase

  5. Provide additional information including a description and short video of the issue

  6. Submit the claim


Claim Review & Returns

  • Warranty claims are reviewed within one (1) business day of submission

  • If approved, you’ll receive an email with return instructions and a prepaid shipping label (if applicable)

  • Return shipping labels are valid for 30 days

  • If a return shipment is not scanned “in transit” within 30 days, the claim will be automatically closed

Please do not send items back without first submitting a warranty claim. Items received without an approved claim cannot be accepted.

You’ll receive email updates as your claim progresses, and you can also check status anytime through the claims portal.


Warranty Remedies

If your warranty claim is approved, Slate will, at its discretion:

  • Replace the product with the same item (new, depending on availability), or

  • Issue a refund or store credit, based on customer preference and/or the original payment method

Please note: some payment methods do not allow refunds more than 180 days after the original purchase date.

Claims are processed within 1–2 business days after the returned product is received and inspected.


Return Shipping for Warranty Claims

If a return is required:

  • Slate will provide return instructions

  • U.S. return shipping is covered by Slate

  • International customers are responsible for return shipping costs
