Meet Rachael Straus, The Pink Hygienist!
Rachael is committed to helping her patients establish a routine that they LOVE! She understands that remembering to floss is a challenge for many people, but firmly believes that if you build it into your routine you'll soon find it becomes a natural part of your day.
What is your favorite part about the Slate Electric Flosser?
I’ve loved using it and I’m not a big flosser. I’ve always preferred water flossing but I love how easy it is to get between my teeth with Slate.
What is the hardest part about being a Dental Professional?
Inspiring your patients to care about their oral hygiene can be really challenging.
What do you wish that your patients knew?
More. I wish my patients knew more about the different products available to them. Sometimes a great product is all you need to motivate yourself.
If you could give one dental hygiene tip, what would it be?
LOVE your routine. If you don’t love your routine, ask your hygienist for recommendations and find products to that help you enjoy taking care of your teeth!
What is your favorite part about being a Dental Professional?
I love meeting and treating new people every single day. Their smiles make me love doing what I do!
What is your favorite toothbrush?
My electric toothbrush is an Oral B IO and my manual toothbrush is a Curaprox.
What is your favorite toothpaste?
At the moment I'm using Cocoshine.
What do you think is the most important thing about what you do?
The oral system is one of the most important systems in the body and protecting it is critical to our overall health! By educating my patients, I'm not just helping them care for their teeth. I'm helping them care for their entire body.
