We stumbled on the Slate Flosser recently when we were looking for an effective flosser that was also safe from harmful chemicals. It is fantastic! We’d recommend it to anyone. We just wish it was easier to get hold of in the UK: it’s worth searching it out.
I have had the slate flosser for a little over 2 weeks now and I really like it. I am a dentist so I obviously have a lot of experience with various flossing devices and this is definitely the best. The main benefit is that I can floss all my teeth in roughly 30 seconds. I appreciate how quick and easy it is to use. It seems to be very effective as well.
I love this product. The handle has weight to it and the flosser with the tongue scraper is so sturdy. I never flossed everyday before but it’s actually an enjoyable experience with this. My mouth feels noticeably cleaner!
I was excited to try this new flosser, and i gifted the others. Unfortunately, the two heads on my flosser did not last but a day or two before breaking.

I was really excited to get this and step up my flossing game. Really in-between Slate and Flaus for a really long time. I decided to go with Slate for a few reasons. 1 - the reusable floss heads, 2 - built in tongue scrubber and 3 - the size of the handle. However, I was extremely let down by the floss head already fraying by the second day of use and the fibers getting caught in between my teeth. The floss head is supposed to last 5 days to a week and it clearly does not. I wish I would've taken the other reviews more seriously of those experiencing the same issues while following directions. The tongue scrapper is a nice add on but the floss head is so bulky that once you flip it over to use the scrapper, it really only reaches the first half of the tongue. Lastly, I find doing manual flossing, followed by a water flosser is more effective than this. I really want to return this and get my FSA funds back.
Bought the couples pack for my parents after using the Slate Flosser myself for over a year. I hope their flossing habits improve because gum hygiene is so important for good health, especially as we age!
Wow it is SO much easier to floss when I don't have to stick my fingers in my mouth AND it doesn't create the constant waste of the disposable ones. Why am I almost 30 when I finally got this in my life. Bless

I purchased this flosser because my and and fingers that do this job with regular floss were having an increasingly hard time...pain wise. Et Voila...here is the Slate Flosser that causes NO pain and does a GREAT job. My Hygienist thinks it does a wonderful job!
Very disappointed in the quality of the flosser. It says you can use it multiple times but I found after once it was ready to be tossed. Poor quality.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to this time.
Back in March of 2025, I was diagnosed with advanced gum disease. I’m 46 years old, and honestly, I was shocked. I’ve generally always had pretty decent dental checkups, but I went about a year without getting a cleaning, and that’s when everything caught up with me. I ended up needing some fairly serious dental work and was strongly cautioned that I had to start taking much better care of my gums.
My stepsister recommended a Slate flosser — something I had never even heard of before — but she spoke so highly of it that I ordered one immediately.
Fast forward to now, just under a year later, and with the help of my dentist, I have completely reversed my gum disease. I truly attribute a large part of that success to this flosser. Something genuinely changed once I started using it. My gums have continued to get healthier and healthier, and my dental visits have reflected that progress.
I recommend this product to anyone who asks about my teeth or gum health, and even to people who don’t. It really is that good. The price point is reasonable, it’s easy to use, and it’s made a noticeable, lasting difference for me.
If you’re on the fence at all, I can’t recommend this enough. It has completely changed my gum health, and I’m extremely happy with it.

I have loved by Slate Flosser since I got it in May 2025. It is a quality product with an amazing battery life, quick charge, and is very easy to change the floss heads which are small and minimally wasteful. The Slate team has been extremely responsive - they were so accommodating when my original item was showing some cracks in the plastic due to a small batch product defect that they sent me a new flosser and helped me ship back my defective one for free. The new flosser is definitely of a better plastic and is not showing signs of wear and tear like the original did. Thank you very much to the Slate team! My teeth feel cleaner than when I do traditional flossing, though I still alternate at times because when I switched completely over to the Slate flosser my gums would bleed when I would randomly go back to traditional floss. I think this is just because the slate flosser does not wrap around the tooth as well as traditional floss.
I’m a dentist and I use this product daily. This takes the difficulty out of the daily routine of flossing. Creates a simple way to access in hard to reach places and eliminates the annoying manual dexterity issue out of flossing! Best flossing product ever! Thanks SLATE!
